INFRASTRUCTURE
From early nineties the school has been trying to provide good infrastructures both for teaching and student communities. 30:1 student ratio is maintained. Every student is given a backrest bench and desk. Ventilated classrooms, wide passages and stair cases are the basic amenities provided. The school has been built in a square shape alike DPI in Chennai. Three stair cases connect all three floors of all four blocks one another. School has two play grounds. One is mini which is attached to the school buildings and another one is adjoined to the school. The adjoined play ground is an acre extent. This playground is to be promoted with necessary fields and tracks for sports and games. The school annexed play ground has amusement things like swings, slides, Merry go round, sea saws etc. Other infrastructures like library and laboratory are sufficient enough. There are three separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. An exclusive Atal Tinkering Lab also supports these science labs. The library has about 5500 books. Varieties of Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Atlases, and hundreds of books on literature, philosophy, history, education, comics, Moral stories, Novels, Social, Agriculture etc. are available. Several Periodicals and Magazines on Science and other tracks are also bought for the library. Two English and Two Tamil dailies are also bought for staff and children.
Above and beyond, about one hundred maps are stored for History and Geography department. There are more than 50 Charts and hangouts for the teaching of Science. Kindergarten department holds several tens of charts, displayable, playable, countable, observable and accessible teaching – learning aids which are almost eco-friendly made of wood. Besides these, Two 55 inches smart TVs and two 32 inch Android TVs and Five projectors are used for virtual teaching. This school started using smart classes in 2004 itself. After the disappointment with the commercial smart classes like everonn, ……., mexus the school started gathering its own repositories with the help of its teachers and the same is used at present very effectively with the help of android and smart TVs. The public addressing system has several ampli speakers, karaoke speakers and mobile speakers.
The special classes like Bharatha Natyam, Hindi, Yoga are provided with separate audio systems. A macro PA system is used for regular schooling, Assembly and announcements.
KNOWLEDGE CENTER:
School has a knowledge centre where sufficient Server, Client computers and printers. This knowledge hub assist the faculty in depositing and utilizing the knowledge repository of the school. This system of accumulating and sharing the knowledge especially educative videos has a great influence in virtual education. The networked Knowledge center and the smart classes and the two high speed Broad Band internet connections increase the level of tapping the efficiency of the repository.
